What are the advantages of events that are hybrid?

This type of event can reach a larger audience than just a virtual-only event or one with only onsite attendees. Traditional events only have an in-person element and the venue limits attendance. Online events that don't offer a physical option miss the opportunity for an interactive experience that can improve the experience for everyone. Costs to attendees can be a barrier, whether for lengthy travel or ticket cost, and this event strategy can mitigate those issues for a virtual audience.

What types of equipment do you use for hybrid production?

You need the right tools to have an event work equally well for an online audience and in-person attendees. You can use a software encoder (a program running on a computer) or a hardware encoder (an attachment on the camera capturing the video). A video encoder compresses and converts digital video into a format that can be viewed online. To have the audio quality work for everyone, you'll need a sound system that can work simultaneously with live settings and streaming platforms. Cameras and lighting must work with stage design to create a successful event.
